I really felt that the presentation about the new TSA guide lines was the most interesting because it really had meaning in today's world. It has meaning in today's world because the United States went to war because of the inadequate measures of the TSA. Also it's important to me because my dad travels 26 weeks out of the year so i want him to always be safe on planes. Anyways i felt the project about the new TSA guide lines are very important in to days world.

What side of the U.S. Involvement of Vietnam am I on?

The U.S. involvement of Vietnam was unnecessary because we really didn't accomplish anything. This war was brutal to the United States Soldiers and Civilians. It made the civilians question what their government was really about. The civilians didn't really agree with the war because they felt the troops were doing more bad then good. They hear stories of mass killing of Vietnamese civilians by United States Soldiers. They also hear that the soldiers were raping women and then beheading them after. The Vietnam war was a horrible war not because we lost men and the war but because of what the soldiers did to the civilians. We were not and have not been  the only county to do these things but we horrible things but we did it on a mass scale. This was just normal life in Vietnam You burnt villages to the ground, you beheaded people, you did what ever you really pleased. I'm not saying the Vietnam war was the worst thing to ever happen. It was one of those things that could of been good if every one respected every one. The war gave us many good things like the ability to vote at 18 it also replaced the draft with a voluntary only military. It also made the Wars Powers Act which states the President can only make us go to war if congress approves this could be a good or a bad thing because that my take a long time for congress to approve which in turn means we could be in serious trouble. The Vietnam war was bad too it hurt our economy badly it also put 58000 lives to their graves and another 350000 casualties 2 million Vietnamese were killed. It Weakened our military in a time when we need the strongest in the world aka the Cold War. It not only reduced the size but the moral of our armed forces. So even thought the Vietnam war gave us some important things we cherish today it did us more bad then good. The Vietnam war was so unnecessary it caused this great nation of ours great pain that would keep hold of us still today. We should of never of gone to Vietnam but we did anyways and lost both the war and thousands of lives.

The U.S Involment in Vietnam

As I have been looking in to this topic some things really stand out to me. These Things are that the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam was and still is a major topic between the government and the citizens. many people think that we went in there and we shouldn't of we sent thousands of men to their deaths, but on the other hand we didn't lose a battle in Vietnam. Some of the pros of the Vietnam war are it reduced the voting age to 18 because people thought if you can die and fight for your country then you should be able to vote. It also made the U.S. military a voluntary military before then it was the draft. Some of the cons were 58,000 lives were lost in the conflict and another 350,000 casualties were taken. Between 1 and 2 million Vietnamese lost there lives. The war badly damaged the U.S. economy. The military moral was weakened along with it made many Americans suspicious of the  governments true intentions. Some thing that could be considered both pro and con of the war are the Wars Power Act which states that the President of the United States of America must get congresses approval before the U.S.A. can fight over seas. Most of this information comes from http://www.digitalhistory.uh.edu/database/subtitles.cfm?titleID=71. So the U.S. involvement of the Vietnam war has many Pros, but an almost equal of Cons.

The book Pacific Vortex by Clive Cussler has so many twists to the story that at times its hard to follow like when he disobeys a direct order from his Superior or when a girl tries to drug him, or when the mysterious mist sinks a submarine. The book is very good but when he disobeys a direct order I think that was strange because he followed all the other orders "Poor old Boland" Pitt said softly to him self "He hasn't the vaguest notion of what I'm up to." This is that he disobeys his order to check the submarine from the out side not actually go in. Or when the girl tries to drug him that was weird."And gently pulled a hypodermic syringe from between her loosely clasped fingers." It turns out that the drug was a truth syrm. Also when the mist sinks the submarine I thought how can mist do that? "The starbuck was expected to dock at Pearl Harbor the following Monday. But when she failed to show." This is the most technology submarine in the world how could simple fog sink it. The book is very good but the twist make it hard to understand at times.

In Pacific Vortex by Clive Cussler, Dirk Pitt decides to kidnap an assassin after from another country most likely Russia. Dirk hit the assassin to knock her out he could of left her where he hit her. But he decides to take her back to his room. He probably could of told his superior officer or even the police but she attacks him and is able to escape. I have no clue as to why he would want to take her to his room. She knows what his room number is and all she needs to do is call up her agency and have him picked up. So he really did himself more bad then good on kidnapping her. So I think some times the bad things we do cloud our judgment over the good we try to do. The bad usually has some bad repercussions. So that is why so good people do bad things due to judgment clouding.

The book "pacific vortex" by Clive Cussler starts out very odd it starts out on a nuclear submarine that has noticed that the ocean floor is rising very fast. The ocean floor rose so high that the submarine hit it and it spank a leek. The ship was lost, but what bothers me about the beginning of the novel is that the sea floor rose so fast that a submarine that detected is wasn't able to get away from it. So what naturally occurring event would cause that? And there's a communication canister that the main character finds but its several 100 yards from shore but he swims to it but the current is to strong and he should be unable to get back to shore but he some how gets back to the shore with the canister. How is it possible that a current that's to strong to fight to shore just lets him go back to the shore. So the book starts out very odd but exciting.
